Maintenance day!

Today has been busy for me! I had my Crossland CC1 open to put in a new overpressure valve, which only took a few minutes. So I decided that it was as good a time as any to 'refurbish' the rest of the machine. So out came the Cafiza, but instead of just a backflush I took out the group diffuser and screen, and soaked it with the portafilter and basket for a half hour. And now my descale is almost done and it will be time to rinse.

I just wonder if the properly functioning OPV will affect my grinder setting significantly; I had the machine dialed in beautifully for the past few weeks -- enough that I won't even grind any of my Brazil single-origin for my Aeropress!!

I would not expect it to have any negative effect, that your grind size should remain the same. Hope your first shot after the upgrade and cleaning will be a good one.

Dump out the first 2 or so pulls after you clean the machine. You want to avoid the citric acid in your cup <yuck>

Grinder setting should be the same.
