    Default Creams in a Tube

I have used Proraso almost exclusively since I started wet shaving 9 months ago. I tried TOBS avacado and I liked it ok. However, I found that I like cream that is dispensed by a tube rather than in a bowl like container. I am looking for recommendations on creams that come in a tube. My experience is limited, so any scent is ok.

There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance - that principle is contempt prior to investigation

You are in luck. Most good creams that come in a tub also come in a tube, including TOBS avocado. TOBS, GFT, DRH, C&E, T&H all come in tubes and tubs. So just order what you want.

There are also a number of good "tube only" options, like proraso, speick, musgo real, palmolive, erasmic, etc.

Going with the tubes, which are also smaller, makes it easier to rationalize experimenting with different creams as well.

I also use proraso, i ask you why change, i have other creams and soaps and feel cheated out of a shave when i change and do not use proraso tube cream, there is a lot of snoppery involved the english soaps/creams are overpriced and hyped up of course this is coming from a scotsman

Strictly YMMV. I found proraso to be fine but not great on performance, and was irritating to my skin. Lot of people out there say menthol is a bad idea in shave prep, ok after shave, which is consistent with my experience. But it obviously works for some. There are plenty of cheaper alternatives to English creams which I find great, like Musgo, but honetly I like them all, and I do find the fancier stuff does tend to work a little better. But at the end of the day, this is just shaving, so it's all about whatever you like.

But if proraso works for you go with it, by all means! When I use proraso, I think I might as well be using barbasol, but that's just me.

The following creams also come in tubes, C&E, TOBS, Trumpers, truefitt and hill, and the list goes on. You can find most popular creams in the tubes as oposed to the tubs if you just loo around alittle. Many prefer the tubes to tubs and vis versa. C&E makes nice tubes that come with tube keys a nice feature, I really like their almond shaving cream.

I like Nivea's shaving cream a lot. It comes in a tube too. There's a review of it over in the review section.

    Default C&e

Definitely try the C&E creams in a tube. They are not that expensive, are available locally and perform wonderfully.

    Feeling Old School and British?

Try Erasmic and Ingram. Ingram IMHO, blows the pants of Proraso... Erasmic has that old school vibe that makes you remember shaving years past...

Here the kicker.... they are both dirt chep!!!

    Best of luck to you.
