Vanilla bean infused whisky

Anyone here try it?
If so, what was the result, pleasant or a waste of time?

I don't drink, I use the whisky in my fruitcake and this year I'm planning a good batch in September, some to eat right away (irresistible) and most to age for a few months minimum; that's the goal anyway.....:001_rolle
 
I make my own vanilla extract using both bourbon and vodka.

I don't think I'd waste my time for drinking, but Vanilla infused bourbon would be great for cooking. Just get a small bottle, throw in a few beans and take them out when it reaches the level you want.
