"Slant" Wedge?

I'm not even sure this is the proper terminology. You know, a wedge that's fatter at the toe than it is at the heel? So if it's 7/8 at the toe and 6/8 at the heel, what size is it? Of course I want to call it 7/8. The toe's where it's at, the heel seems more like an afterthought. What's your take?

I think it's OK to take it as the size at the widest point.

I was curious too. The w&b wedge I found from 1830 is slanted.

Is that by design, or is it just hone wear?

I'm guessing improper honing because if you wanted to change the angle of the blade it's really easy with a straight... Just turn the wrist a little and turn down... Not the same on a de slant
