Sony A 3000 or Sony Nex

Anyone have any experience with the Sony A 3000 or any of the Nex cameras? What do you like and or dislike about the camera systems?

The fact that it is Sony greatly turns me off. But, I know several working pros who use the NEX cameras as a modern "rangefinder" with vintage canon glass for street photography. Though everyone I know who uses it, uses it exclusively for personal candid type photography.

My buddy owns both the NEX 7 and the Fuji X-E1. He uses the 18-55 Sony kit lens as his walk around lens.
I borrowed his NEX 7 back in 2012 shot the image below using the 18-55 lens.

I recently bought an X-E2 and for me it's been an excellent camera. Using my old screw mount lenses has produced some wonderful results.
And the two Fuji XF lenses I own are also top notch. My buddy also told me that manual focusing was harder for him when using the NEX 7
with adapted lenses. He said it was harder to see what was in focus on the NEX screen. I'm not sure if it has focus peaking. I'll have to borrow
it again and compare it with my X-E2.
