First Set of Homemade Scales, out of plumbing pipe?

I decided to learn to make a set of scales. I did not have any materials to make them from so I went to the hardware store to see if they had something I could use. And then, there it was, a 3" PVC plumbing pipe. I thought possibly at the tangent of the inside diameter there might be enough material to make a scale. Also the outside diameter already had a curve to it. So the idea became a reality, with a coping saw, a hack saw,a file, hand drill, lots of sandpaper, pins, spray enamel and elbow grease. take a look, enjoy,

I opened the thread out of curiosity. I actually said, "wow" out loud when I saw the picture. The scales look fantastic. Rumor has is your vendor also sells black scales too.

Looking at those scales you would never guess how they started life. That's a great job. How long did it take you?

Wow, Ron!!!!! You're the most creative B&B'er, hands down.

That's incredibly creative and those scales look factory all the way

Very nice job! Your local office depot or staples will have tons of cheap acrylic clip boards in different colors that work well too.
