Bad blade edge?

Gentlemen, this morning my DE8911, with a new Feather blade, gave a smooth WTG / XTG stroke with one side of the blade. However, the blade's other side seemed to grab and tear, resulting in more nicks and weepers than usual.

Have any of you encountered this situation before?

Yes, some times you get a bad blade.
But I never talk about it when its Feather or Kai, I don't want some Japanese committing Seppuku over this.

I had it with an Astra SP, only one that I recall. Best advice is, if you find a blade with a bad
edge, change it immediately (don't continue to test it, change it), re-lather, and enjoy your shave.

Yup I had a bad Feather once.

Not with a Feather yet, just with a Gillette blue silver.

I've had it with Astra Sp also. Funny thing is I bought 2 100 blade boxes, one box has prob. 10% of the blades bad on one side, the other box so far has had none.

I've also experienced this with the Astra sp ..
