Or perhaps to put it another way, you now get to enjoy at least 1hr & 30mins of showering, stropping, lathering, shaving...

But seriously, you will get quicker as you gain experience. Excluding stropping (which I do in advance - garyg's thoughts of doing it at a different time work for me), I now spend only a little longer on a straight shave than I did with a DE, but I much prefer the results.

It's not that I get a better BBS. In fact, I get a slightly less close shave overall, but a much more comfortable one, and part of the reason is the number of passes. I do an overall WTG, which gives me a much closer first pass than any DE first pass ever did and means I don't need to do as much subsequent work. Then XTG along the jawline, ATG on my neck, and a few touch-ups - and I never get any burn or irritation.
