Kriss Kross

Saw my first Kriss Kross today in a small town museum. It's a very unusual looking razor.

Cool razor. What kind of museum? Why did they have a razor on display?

Small town museum. There are small museums in most small towns in Alberta and British Columbia. In the museum's they display everything and anything dealing with the early settlers to the area. The red that the razor is sitting on is an antique Barbers Chair. There is always a wet shaving display with some interesting items. At this one they had two straights on display, but just had a donation of 36 straights from one old timer that they do not know what to do with. The mandate of most of these museums is that if it is donated, they have to keep it.

I just scored one of these for $11 today. Have no idea what blades the use or how to load. Anyone?

To get my old blade out I can just catch the back edge with my thumb nail. To reinsert it I held the outer edges and slipped it under a corner and just slid it into place. Kinda' simple but use caution.
I was also successful just sliding it in from the side. Tried it several times both was and it worked well.

Thanks. I didn't see any blade stops....are there any?

None side to side as you can see. But once the blade seats against the back that's it.

Nice! Forget vintage, stuff an injector blade into it and enjoy!
