Default Harris Marlborough vs. QED Sandalwood

Is it just me, or do these soaps smell almost identical to one another??

I don't have a very Sophisticated Sniffer so any of you gentlemen with a more developed "scent palate" are welcome to offer your opinions. Cuz to my nose, they're pretty darned close.

    Thanks!

I have both soaps (in stick form), and I'd have to say that IMHO they're not that close. The Marlborough is a little more complex, and a little sweeter. The QED smells like what it is, an excellent single note sandalwood.

Thanks very much for your observation.

I do NOT own both soaps, only QED's Sandalwood (which I love). I smelled the Marlborough shave stick when I was in Pasteur's today and my first thought was that it smelled just like QED's Sandalwood. Obviously my scent memory is somewhat faulty.

Now I might have to buy the Marlborough as well. Just to see if I agree with you, you understand. Purely a matter of research. I'm certain my wife would agree with my uh, quest for knowledge. Right?

    Absolutely she would...
FWIW, I like the Marlborough scent very much. I have the Harris A/S in Marlborough as well.

That's my take. I have QED sandlewood and a wedge sample of Marlboro. I like the Marlboro more, but both are great, and I totally agree it's complexity vs. single note.
