1930's Straight Razor N&H CLAUBERG "THE FISH" Solingen - Opinions, Please

OK, guys. My RAD has progressed to straights. I am gearing up for some straight shaving just as soon as I get my Wade & Butcher back from Buca's masterful hands. I ran across this on the 'bay today and scored it for $29.50 with shipping.

Seller is in Czech Republic and said this in description

"Another time traveler from days when a good quality was the standard, not a luxury. A nice vintage high quality Solingen steel straight razor almost 80 years old. On the tang is N & H. Clauberg´s company logo The Fish in Oval and on reverse JAN MEIXNER MIKULASOVICE.

This razor was made by N & H Clauberg of Solingen and sold by Jan Meixner of Mikulasovice from Czechoslovakia
Razor is in very good condition, no chips and cracks on blade, only petty shallow pitting. It has a elegant creamy metal clad celluloid scales in near perfect condition without scratches. Razor will need honing to get shave ready."

I thought it was cool looking and I figured with Solingen, steel should be OK.

I guess this is not a screaming deal or a steal, but did I do OK or overpay? Who has experience with these razors? Anyone out there know the brand?

Thanks in advance for your collective wisdom.

A very cool and unique looking razor. I remember seeing it. In that condition, needing only a hone, i think you did well.

Hey,

looks like mine only different, had it for a while and only got around to some restoration and honing tonight, hope you can see a difference in these pictures, it's the best I could do with my camera (posting without a pic I'm sure someone would cry for razor porn)

shaves nicely but I will probably let her go since I have too many and I rather a 5/8 or 6/8 ... although I did get under the nose more easily with this 4/8 ... hmmm

has this on the tang: Giovanni Meixner Solingen -Abbazia

That is nice, One More. I sold my Fish. Found it a little too skinny for my tastes.
