I own one pair of boxer briefs. I wore them once because I was wearing white linen pants in a wedding, on a sunny day...

Boxer briefs FTW. Been wearing those for 20 years, I think. Best of both worlds.

At least we don't have to worry whether to take off our undergarments when we go inside.

Well, if your mom buys your underwear, then yes.
I don't understand why "tighty-whities" get such a bad rap, these days. Because it's been determined that the don't look good (on the average guy)?
I tried to be trendy and go with boxers, then tried to like boxer briefs, really did. Tried various style/cuts, but both always end up all bunched up at the top of my thighs. Boxers have the added possibility of sometimes sitting down and squashing something important.
For safety and comfort's sake, I choose tighty-not-neccessarily-whities.
