What's new

What did you learn from your last shave?

I changed blades today and pulled a Sharp's brand from near the bottom of my stack, and realized (for me), there is a reason they were near the bottom. The shave was ok, but not BBS. I'm having fun rotating through my stack of many different vendors.

Noxema put into a left over Proraso pre jar with a bit of glycerin added to it makes for a really great shave when used before each pass!

Travel Techs are LIGHT - it's easy to apply too much pressure to compensate for the light head. Have to focus on short, light passes.

I need to keep working on my soap-lathering techniques, as each soap has such different requirements. I also was reminded again just how pleasant this all is.

That the Red Tip Flare I just bought is far too aggressive for me. The expression "shredded beef" comes to mind.:thumbdown

Oh, well. It's a nice addition to my collection.

1. Cella is wonderful
2. You can get irritation even with a mild razor if you use too much pressure.
3. More passes are not necessarily better.

1. Red tip and feather equals ti great shave.
2. After 3 years, im still discovering my beard growth pattern, especially my sides of chin. Been going atg on 1st pass.
