I'm fascinated that there are no posts regarding the Sperry laces that were constantly untying themselves, at least in my case. No one else was plagued by them?
Barrel or tassel tie. No worries. Looks cool.
I just spent about 15 minutes trying to make a "nice" knot.
not gonna happen without some guidance.

They are a great casual shoe. perfect for summer. I wish I had bought them this summer...but there is always next summer...
This is my favorite site for custom ties; even Sperry has their own instructions.
That's the link I posted some time ago and the knot worked very well for me also.
I love the Sperry shoes. I tied Chinese buttons onto the ends of my laces, works great for me.

I got a pair a few months ago. One of the dogs chewed up the laces, and I just haven't had time to figure out how to relace them.
And man, is tying them a PITA. I tried the barrel knots, they look ridiculous. My daughters would like it on their shoes. Not for men.

A few blotches of grease and a touch of cow dung transforms them solidly into the realm of masculinity.

might have to retie it everyone once in a while.
I usually bought them at Macy's. Had really good luck, but I find it annoying how quickly the sole starts to peel up. Bought them a bit more cheaply on amazon and the soles are staying nicely put, but the leather is extremely stiff and has yet to soften.
