Hey folks,
I am trying to get into the lifestyle of DE shaving. I managed to get an old razor from my Dad, but as a college student, I have less than a little bit of cash lying around. I was wondering if anyone had some good, cheap deals on creams/soaps/brushes/blades that they would be so kind as to throw towards me. I'll take anything I can get. I truly appreciate it.

I don't have anything to offer except for a few pucks of williams soap, and shipping would be more than the worth of the soap. I recommend you go to a local wal-mart and get a boar brush and a puck of williams soap. You should be able to pick up both for less than $5, assuming your wal-mart has these products on clearance like most others I've seen, and most members are reporting their wal-marts have them on clearance.

Pay attention to these boards and you may get lucky and be able to take advantage of a PIF.

PIF = Pay if forward. Usually when a new member receives something gratis they are asked to pay it forward sometime in the future.

Do you need a brush/razor stand, with soap bowl? I have one, with a matching badger brush. I also have a partially used puck of Col Conk Bay Rum soap.

I'm also a broke college kid new to DE. Do those sample request emails from the shopping forum actually produce anything? What do we ask in the email?
