Razor balance?

So I see a lot of mention about the balance of a razor. Generally what is a balanced razor? Depending on where you hold the razor will change the amount of weight on each side so I am a little confused. I have seen people mention ratios of handle to head weight. That 2:1 is ideal. Any truth to this? Also different handle lengths will change how a razor balances so is it more than just weight? I am assuming 2:1 comes from holding the handle in the middle and then the weight of the head would be the only weight doing work.

It's all about preference.

I personally like the weight to be in the head (and not too much of it) but do not overthink the actual ratio.

There seems to be a craze for hefty handles over here but for me a razor is an instrument, not a tool.
