OK, i was off a few, but we get the point of David wanting to be with his son at 11. He already lost his chance to be with him earlier on due to his work, so he deserves to be with his family now as he nears older age.

OK, i was off a few, but we get the point of David wanting to be with his son at 11. He already lost his chance to be with him earlier on due to his work, so he deserves to be with his family now as he nears older age.
Dave was a bad azz at NBC, he really went against the grain compared to Carson. Dave always was cutting edge. But he now passed the torch to a newer generation, the MTV and Generation X and Y fans that want newer cutting edge. Colbert fits that bill perfectly.....so does Fallon and Seth Myers.
Letterman was great in Cabin Boy. If you like his NBC show at all, you'd probably enjoy it.
