After all the advice I received on this forum regarding the purchase of a vintage Gillette to try (been shaving with a Merkur HD for years), I went out on the hunt today, browsing antique stores. Didn't take long. First place I went I scored a Super Speed for $4.
Don't know much about it but underneath is the D-3 code. So based on what I could figure out, it's a 1958 TV type SS.
Check the pics of this razor after a little cleaning up (not very good because taken with phone camera). Still need to go over it well with MAAS. Has some patina to it, but looks to be in good working order. TTO works fine.
Thanks for the advice. I'm sure this won't be my last vintage razor but it's fun to get the first. Let me know if you have any info or suggestions.
