    Are you looking specifically to buy a used razor?

    If you want a new one I highly recommend QED. He's even in RI so probably a day's shipping away...

    Don't order too quick James! Check this out. A Merkur Slant with a barber pole style spiraling etched grip. Just another option...

    The barber pole version is now the 39C and is a slant head on a 38C handle. IMHO, not a beginner's razor.

    I really have to agree with Jimmy's comments here. I can't see the long handled slant as a beginner's razor. It is no doubt a great razor for some, but I suspect it will turn beginners right off after a use or two.
