    any one know when british rocket was first introduced thanks

    It was first produced in the 1940's not sure of the exact date.

    thats what i thought . picked one up today with this code on 694093,
    but cant figure out year.

    I did not know that British Rockets had a date code like that on them. Mine doesn't....hmmmmm, interesting!

    Hey, thats the same code on mine. Sorry, not sure of the year of mine either.
    On the underside of the head is there a date code, like the roman number 2 (II) or any other letter?

    yeah thats there sounds same , i thought the SERIAL codes went out in 29

    That number is the patent number and from it it sounds like you may have a flare tip.

    Rocket is the brit. name for the notched, New Improved Super-Speed, that comes in 1948

    sounds as tho could be pat number, no not flare tip,

    Here is a pic of mine......the razor
    I'm told it's a British flare tip rocket, it has the Pat. No. 694093 in where the blade goes and says MADE IN ENGLAND under the head along with GILLETTE and the letter S
    I'm tossing around the idea of putting it on the Bay tonight with a reserve, any ideas what I should set the reserve at???
    ps. I think this razor is kinda rare because of the S, its in mint shape and I haven't seen another like it

    There's a British Rocket on the Bay right now, great shape and it's at $49.00, 3 hours to go......

    it has the II not the S

    Actually, I was wondering what my Rocket is worth and because I don't have enough posts and haven't been on the forum long enough I can't sell it on here. I thought I would put it on the Bay....so there it is on Ebay

    Pretty razor.

    I picked up a few rockets recently. Can't wait to try them out.
