any one know when british rocket was first introduced thanks
It was first produced in the 1940's not sure of the exact date.
See here for a little more info:

Hey, thats the same code on mine. Sorry, not sure of the year of mine either.
On the underside of the head is there a date code, like the roman number 2 (II) or any other letter?
That number is the patent number and from it it sounds like you may have a flare tip.
Here is a pic of mine......the razor
I'm told it's a British flare tip rocket, it has the Pat. No. 694093 in where the blade goes and says MADE IN ENGLAND under the head along with GILLETTE and the letter S
I'm tossing around the idea of putting it on the Bay tonight with a reserve, any ideas what I should set the reserve at???
ps. I think this razor is kinda rare because of the S, its in mint shape and I haven't seen another like it
That is a beautiful example of a British Flare Tip...![]()
I'll give you $1.50 for everyone of these you got!!
There's a British Rocket on the Bay right now, great shape and it's at $49.00, 3 hours to go......
it has the II not the S
Actually, I was wondering what my Rocket is worth and because I don't have enough posts and haven't been on the forum long enough I can't sell it on here. I thought I would put it on the Bay....so there it is on Ebay
Pretty razor.
I picked up a few rockets recently. Can't wait to try them out.
Good luck with your auction. The razor looks great with lots of detail.
