looking for a good DE and blade setup as im typing this. wondering If I should by a lather bowl and stand as well.. as for my blade now its the mach ultra 3 works decently i guess but I want to experience what a Man of yester-year had daily.. Sometimes I wish you could still go to any barbershop get a quarter shave and cut.

I listened to my grandfather tell me stories al the time growing up, I just remember his eyes the most, Sparkling and so distant .. lost in his younger days I guess . the best part of this experience, I hope is, the slowing down that comes with shaving this way.

Hi Shawn and welcome to B&B.

As far as a razor is concerned you won't go too far wrong with either a Merkur HD or a Murker Classic, both are superb razors. I don't know enough about the plethora of vintage Gillettes to make any kind of recommendation there I'mafraid. Blade selection is quite important and you'd probably be best getting a blade sampler pack from LetterK.
    Cheers

Hence the nickname of Shrek I guess?

I'm not as big as you but I do have large hands (Larger than average for my size) and I have both (a classic and a slant #337C which is the same size as an HD) bar and get on well equally with both of them.

well got my first brush from CE i read about a wet animal smell sometimes but i must say this brush is my new best friend and does not have an unpleasant odor. they sent me a 25Ml tube of CE brand lavender hand therapy which while feeling greasy the first 5 minutes now has my hands smelling faintly aromatic and very soft.

now waiting on my qed Cream orders so I can jump in the shower and prep myself for my first Shave
