Picked this straight up yesterday as part of a great score.
Old Sheffield blade, 11/16 quarter hollow with weird leather scales. Apparently this is boiled leather and turns up occasionally on older Sheffield razors.
The stamp on the tang is largely worn away but clearly says Sheffield as well as part of the makers name though all that's clear is "BB".
Any guesses as to what that name might be?
It's not spaced right for Mappin and WeBB, but how about HiBBard or something like that?
