SOTD "Open Comb" Theme Week 17-23 Feb 2014

Gentlemen,

Welcome to a new week. The IOTW is "Open Hearts, Open Combs", and for me, that means breaking out my handful of open combed razors, starting with what may be the gold standard, the Gillette New.

Krona. Lord Super Stainless. Valobra. Omega Pro. Tabac Splash and Finish.

Need to get some Bay Rum. My favorites are Master's and Pinaud, but all the store has are Tiger and Stephan's.

I have not an open comb Today I shaved in style though...

This was my 2nd shave using the Plisson Pure/Grey Badger brush. I used it with Stirling Barbershop today. Great lather! Great scent! I am still with my Red Tip and the 7 O’Clock Black. I got another great Red Tip shave. I finished up with Clubman.

1st: N-S, 2nd: S-N, 3rd: ATG where needed. Result: DFS

Back to the first edge of the GSB, today it was a little smoother, but not as smooth as the second edge was yesterday. The Figaró shaving cream performs quite well, and is a good deal at the price. I used Cuba Orange for the second time, and I think it's good, but not great.
