This is my very first straight razor purchase. I looked for a few weeks around the net and on eBay and then finally pulled the handle on this one off eBay. The pics are from the actual listing and I'm waiting for the item to ship. It looks to be in pristine condition. I wanted to go with a new razor, but just didn't want to drop over $100 for a first time purchase. Any comments or words of advice on getting started? Any would help. I shot an email off to Tony for some first timer strop buying/use advice. Have a good one guys!

Thsi is a good razor and will make a fine shaver. I like those wide blades.
Mille made excellent blades.
First before shaving get it honed by a pro, you'll find them on this site.

Any recommendations? I kind of figured I would get this done. I want it to be ready to go and just have to concentrate on the stropping for the first few months at least.
