    Default Shaving Supplies In Vegas?

I will be home for two weeks in March and am wondering if anyone knows of any Brick & Mortar shops that sell traditional shaving supplies (soaps, brushes, DE's straight's, etc)?

I'm sure I could go to the strip to the Fashion Show Mall and find something but I avoid the strip at all costs. I did not get the shaving bug until after I moved away and it's strictly mail order for me now.

Any help from the other Desert Rats would be appreciated.

JD, there is a Truefitt & Hill barber shop / retail store in the Forum Shops at Ceasar's Palace.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather, skidding in sideways, bourbon in one hand, cigar in the other, body used up, totally worn out, screaming -- WooHoo! What a Ride!

Good to know, I'm going to vegas in a few weeks. I shave with a straight now (just getting started on it), but was wondering what I'd do there seeing as I have a plane ride.

I think I might pick up a DE and head there to buy some blades when the plane lands. Hopefully I'll be decent with it by then

I wanted to stick with the str8 and stick it out until it really started to pay off, but I think learning the DE will be nice for things like this. Then again, I could save myself $50 and a lot of trouble just picking up a cheap cartage thing just for the trip, its not like I go often.

I'll be hitting up that store for sure though either way

you just cant put it in your carry on otherwise they may question it but when they realize its how you shave they will process the bag.

PH, I was in Vegas last week and although I walked by T&H, I did not go in this time. I have purchased shave cream there on previous trips but I am not sure that they sell blades. You might give them a call before you count on them carrying blades. I guess if all else fails, you could go in for a shave!

    Guys

I think Johnny is looking for places that are NOT on the Strip.

I may have to go to the Strip after all. Not having much luck in my searches but I did see an Art of Shaving listing near or at the Fashion Show Mall.

The FSM is pretty easy to get in and out of at least during the day. The evening, forget about it!

I looked into that as I'm about due for a haircut and a pro shave would be kind of cool. But they are $60 and $65. The days of a shave and a haircut for 2 bits have long since passed. I think my $125 + tip could be much better spent down there.

  10. Thumbs up plenty of places to go in L.V.

Try Mandally Bay , The Bellargeo and of course Ceasar's Palace. All great places 's . While you are at it don't forget the crabtree & everllyn outlet at the las vega s premium outlets ( north end of the strip ).

Are you referring to the new outdoor outlet mall on the old railroad property downtown? Close to I-15 and Alta?

I updated the wiki for just this purpose, lol. Try "The Sharp Shop" (sharpshoplv.com) on West Charleston they sell barber (and animal groomer) supplies, and carry DE's, Straights, Disposable Blade Straights etc and the wall o' aftershave. They carry Feather and Personna blades. For soaps/creams, there's B&BW in malls, L'Occitane in the Fashion Show Mall, and Sunflower market for KMF and some other brush-less creams. Whole Foods has KMF and Thayer's as well as a decent pre shave soap.

AoS stinks, stay away from AoS. Overpriced and laden with parabens is no way to make shave soap.

Lots of stuff to buy there, but my T&H shave was pretty poor. YMMV
