The Speakeasy acquisitions - 2014

Stopped by the liquor store and picked up:

Russel's Reserve Single Barrel Non-chill Filtered, 110 proof and goes down like silk.
Old Forrester signature (100 proof)
Old Weller Antique (for poor man's pappy)
Four Roses Single Barrel Private Selection Barrel Strength. Hand selected by Brown Derby.
And best of all... Elmer T. Lee Commemorative Bourbon. I'll crack this one tonight. :biggrin1:

Does this count as a speakeasy acquisition? Just got back from visiting Oregon's wine region. I live in Utah, and none of the wineries will ship here. The only way to get limited/special releases is to pick them up yourself because the DABC won't stock them or order them.

Snagged a bottle of Johnnie Walker Green yesterday, last on the shelf. Can't even imagine why they discontinued this blend, it was arguably the best in their lineup.

Bought a bottle of Masons Yorkshire Gin. I liked it, everyone else seems to think it tastes like gasoline. The more I drink it the less I like it. Do not recommend, and regret purchasing.

Don't you find a little disturbing that the last 5 posts ( in two days) in this thread are yours?

Just sayin' ... :whistling:

Lol well over the past 3-4 months I have bought:
2 twelve packs of beer:(1 Sam Adam's Boston Lager, 1 Natty Green's Buckshot)
1 6-pack: Guinness Draught
4 Fifths: Jameson, Jim Beam Black, Devil's Cut, Baily's Irish Creme
1 Handle: Captain Morgan 100 Proof

I must be one of the cheapest guys around here when it comes to drinking ... most of the time I drink beer.

Hey ... it works for me. YMMV.

Just arrived from the Single Malt Club: three bottles of 16yo Cradle Mountain Tasmanian whisky bottled for the club. I am officially a happy bunny.
