BOTD - Beer of the Day - 2014

Founders Imperial Stout. Getting myself back into stout gear after countless IPAs, lagers, and random homebrews I've been drinking over the last couple months. I've got a bottle of KBS burning a whole in my fridge too!

Clown Shoes Billionaire. An English style barelywine aged in cognac barrels. Really good.

A local place (about half a block from my house!) tapped a "Mayan Stout" a few hours ago. A stout with cocoa beans, cinnamon, vanilla, and cayenne pepper. It tasted like spicy hot chocolate...interesting and delicious!

Went with a Belgian theme tonight. Stepped up a saison yeast starter and had a homebrew Belgian Pale Ale and Belgian Blonde

Horizontal beer ;-)

I don't know how to rotate the picture on my phone.

Weihenstephaner, despite the logo on the glass.

Tonight, have a Dussel-Port Altbier from Sea Level Brewing here in Nova Scotia. Would make a great summer evening beer!

Goat Boy from Southern Tier. A very nice Bavarian style weizenbock. Has all of the clove and banana aroma and flavor that typifies the classic wheat beers from southern Germany.
