Default Aftershave balm as a moisturizer?

Does anyone here use their aftershave balm as a moisturizer?

My skin is really dry during the winter. I also have acne. To combat the acne, I started washing my face twice a day and it seems to really help. However, the dryness is worse.

I was thinking about using my Nivea Sensitive ASB as a nightly moisturizer. It seems to be pretty good stuff. It's a toss up between that and the Thayer's.

    Thoughts?
My name is not really Salvador Montenegro.

I dont see why not...sometimes when it is very cold outside I will apply musgo real balsam later in the day because it protects and seals the face so well.

After using facewash, my face would be kind of dry, and I'd put Brut AS balm on.

I been having some dry skin too, one of my favorite after shave balms also moisturizes very nice, that being AOS sandalwood which is for normal to dry skin it works great a very slight burn when first applied I think due to the vitamins in it but I am no expert and certainly it is nothing compared to an alcohol based a/s, it keeps my face nice and moisturized without being sticky or oily for hours, a little pricey at about 35 a bottle but only a little about a nickle size at most is needed so it last a long time.

I wash my face daily with Nivea Soothing Wash - followed by Clearasil pads - they come in a tub of about 65 - concentrated stuff which works really well!!! My ache and ache scars have almost disappeared - and my skin finally looks healthy

To conquer the dry skin issue - I use Nivea Soothing Moisturiser - it's much more effective than the ASB - although as a post-shave - it has to be the balm!! Hope that helps
    brush: C&E super BB
    pre-shave wash: Nivea Soothing
    pre-shave oil: almond oil
cream: Bodyshop, TOBS Avocado & Rose
aftershave: Nivea Soothing, Terre D'Hermes balm
    moisturiser: Nivea Soothing
