Let's see how movies or TV shows there are that have fancy WATCH scenes [ no cheapos ] . Name the movie/TV show and if possible what WATCH is being used...lets see how many we can find.
Watched "Picasso Trigger" last night. A woman had a watch with a built in lighter. Anyone know what it could be?
"Sabrina" with Harrison Ford. He's wearing a Breguet Marine. Midsize on a strap.
How do I know? I worked out a product placement deal between Breguet and the producers. I met Harrison. Nice guy. Very shy. He and someone else each ended up with a free watch. I worked with the director Sidney Pollack's brother, who was the costume designer, to negotiate a deal. My then employer, a retailer, and Breguet both got screen credits. Me? I don't think I even got a pat on the back. I almost got a deal on Breguet for myself (below dealer wholesale), but my connection inside the Breguet switched jobs before I could negotiate a deal. The rest is history. Been out of that business for a long time now.
My conversation with Harrison:
Me: Is this yourself or for a role?
HF: For a role.
Me: Who are you playing?
HF: An a**hole.
Me: Can you be more specific? What kind of an a**hole?
HF: A rich one.
Me: How rich?
HF: Billionaire.
Me: Come see these Breguets and Patek Philippes.
HF: This one. I'll need three of them. I'll have somebody call you.
Then, of course there is the so-called Paul Newman Rolex Daytona Cosmograph that Paul Newman did not wear in Winning.
A Daytona sold at auction in October or November for over $1 million.

Surprised no one has mentioned any Bond watches yet.

Why do you say Rolex?Great scene. I think Baldwin's character tells the "losers who can't close" that he's wearing a Rolex. "Coffee's for closers." "First place is a Cadillac; second place is a set of steak knives; third place, you're fired."
