What's new

Who can name Movies or TV shows that have fancy watch scenes.

Years ago, I worked for retailer where Nicholas Cage was buying a complicated Ulysse Nardin on lay-a-way. No joke. I can't remember whether it was a Copernicus or Planetarium. He would show up three or four times a year and put down a couple for thousand bucks. I was shocked, as he was already a moderately big star, that he would do a lay-a-way. It was probably a $50,000 to $70,000 watch back then. I doubt it ever appeared on his wrist in a movie. No clue whether he ever made a final payment and took the watch home.

The Everybody Loves Raymond shot looks like a Breitling to me, but the image isn't all that clear. Possibly a Chronomat 24.

He wore a Rolex in the first National Treasure movie... traded it for a Declaration of Independence copy in the souvenir shop.

The Seinfeld episode where George becomes a hand model has him wearing some sort of watch. Couldn't find a decent picture from that episode, though there are plenty of pictures of Jason Alexander wearing watches out there, many from the show.

The first watch I ever noticed was from a show called "Whitechapel". Rupert Penry-Jones always looked top notch. Clean, crisp suit. Tiger Balm for the temples. And a fantastic watch. I didn't know anything about watches until I researched which one he was wearing. Apparently, his character wore 3-4 different ones throughout the series. I've wanted a Grand Carrera Chronograph ever since. PIFs welcome, of course. :biggrin1:

Surprised nobody's posted this yet but Drive has a few great scenes with a real nice looking timepiece. Really great movie, cinematography as well as the soundtrack is amazing. Definitely my favorite movie for those reasons along. Note: not for the squeamish to violence, maybe don't watch on a first date =)
