Has somebody on this forum tried to make a custom razor?

Merv or somebody who knows about machining could potentially make a very fine razor, machined out of solid metal, like SS or an alloy of some sort. I think that should be a project for somebody to try to make a razor modeled after one of the 3 piece Gillettes or Merkur HD. Would be that hard to do?

I've made handles, but I don't have the equipment or expertize to made the head.

Bob makes some very fine handles. I've enjoyed the priviledge of using several of them and was very impressed.

Unfortunately after making longer handles on the HD line I've developed a fondness for short handle razors like the Milord and Aristocrat.

Bob, would you perhaps have pictures of some of your custom work? I'm sure I'm not the only one that'd love to check them out.

I would like to see them in better detail... Maybe you could start a small side business...
