FP through washer…

I accidentally left one of my fountain pens in a shirt pocket when I did laundry this past weekend. (I normally carry them in my messenger bag, not in shirt.) My unlabeled Platinum Preppy eyedropper, that came with (and was filled with) my Noodler's Baystate Blue.

While the lid got quite a bit of ink in it, and the feed is even fuller than usual, none of the ink escaped from the pen itself! O.O No stains on the laundry!

I am SOOO lucky!!

Better go buy a Lotto ticket after escaping that one.

Lol, start checking all pockets before putting in washer!

I did that with a Preppy as well and no stains. Says a lot about the quality of the pen for such an inexpensive price.

I've done this with ballpoints and other items, but have so far avoided it with fountain pens (knocks on wood). No direct experience with Baystate Blue, but from what I've read about it, I'd say you did get lucky there.

I think this is how laundry bluing was first invented.

Oh man...Bay State Blue in a washer would be a disaster for ANY other article of clothing in or will ever be in that washer. Glad you dodged that bullet
