Thanks! It's one of my favorite holidays. Nice to have a long weekend when the weather is turning cool and the leaves are dropping.

When I was in college and dating this particular beautiful and interesting girl for all of a week or two, I get something in my mailbox.
Well, just getting anything in my mailbox filled me with excitement and anticipation, but this piece was addressed to me in ballpoint pen and with a very feminine hand.
I do not remember what the card said, and I never will remember what the card said, but the inscription read "Happy Columbus Day and Canadian Thanksgiving!"
About a year and a half later, the gal that wrote that inscription married me, and I've managed to keep it that way for twenty years.
I married better than my wife did, and don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
