Does anayone have experience with the John Lewis (UK department store) bowl refill soap. It dos not have any branding on it. It is only wrapped in paper, and sells for about 3 GBP.

I just bought one but not used it yet.
Will try next time I shave but I have limited experience
Curious to hear your experience.
I was a user of the Vergulde Hand Dutch soap, but have switched to C&E Sandalwood.
PS was I right on the price? It was from memory...
Still not used will do later today.
Less than £3 I think around "£2.85
Well 1st few weeks of proper wet shaving and I have spoilt myself by getting Trumpers Coconut cream.
Still waiting for my 2 DE razors
Floral type soapy smell before use but not much smell during use.
Lathered up well but not as creamy as the Trumpers Cream I have used but then again I would'nt expect it too ,in fact I could still see stubble through the lather on my face (could be down to my lathering).
Anyway I shaved with a gillette fusion that is definitly in need of a new blade, which I am a bit reluctant to buy as I am waiting on my 2 DE razors to come.
The shave itself was very smooth and usually I am left with a few drops of blood/nicks like pin pricks, but this was not the case after this shave. In fact the soap definitly seemed to help the razor glide over my face,But I did feel as though it dried my skin somewhat. But overall a very good buy for the price
