The box is in great shape. I would have scooped it up at that price. The razor is useless though unless you have a top cap and screw bar.Saw this one at the antique shop earlier today. I didn't buy it because it doesn't have the bottom piece (so i can't use it). The razor looks black, maybe it's silver and it could be tarnished.
Also, looking mr razors site. The box can't be from 1904, that box is from 1906 (honest mistake from the seller i guess). Looking at the picture, i guess i should have bought it anyway, since the box looks to be in ok shape.

Hello all, today I scored a Gillette Red and Black New Deluxe set. I stumbled upon it at an antique mall that I rarely frequent. Total cost was $10.77. It cleaned up nicely. Here's the photos-

I just received my Single Ring (allegedly from 1918, but I don't know how to date it) and a NEW. The NEW's handle doesn't seem to match the head, though (as evident from the angle of the handle in relation to the head - i.e., it's not perpendicular). So I don't really know how to go about that issue! Any tips?
