What's new

Safety Razor Acquisition Thread.

I'd say silver, Juan Manuel.

They did plate some Old Types in nickel but that was in the '20s I believe.

Plus, if he used the baking soda/aluminum method and it actually did something, can't be nickel. :tongue_sm

Aha!

Yup, but it seemed nickel to me... or better put, it didn't seem silver... too dull.. And it definitely does not look like this one.

Actually the baking soda thing didn't do much... the result you see (the OT, that is..) is a bit of elbow grease, soap, and polish!

In the end, I'm not sure...

Thanks, Edgar!

@KeenDogg

Thanks, Adam!

Canadian SR. No numbers. The effing hair crack line, not mentioned by the seller:mad3:... yet it's stabilized...

Well, I like it.

No cleaned up yet. Too many new arrivals, too little time to clean them up...:laugh:

Surprisingly, these pair are my first ever gold razors!
I really wanted a 3 piece old and it just happened to include the new!
There is still some detailing work to be done on the new but overall I'm happy with them.
