Scuttles...

I thought I saw a T&H scuttle on their website at some point and was wondering is anyong had used them/seen them.

They are taller in design compared to the moss scuttle and look much like an hourglass. I imagine they hold more water, which would help prevent heat dissapation but they may be thinner different material so it may be a draw...

What do you gents think?

Traditional scuttles and Moss scuttles are two different things. A moss scuttle has a small bowl where you can rest your lather and brush and keep it warm, a traditional scuttle is more about having warm water in a container, the dished out part on top will hold a soap, but won't really hold your lather or keep it warm.

I got one of these: http://www.vulfixoldoriginal.com/products-detail.asp?CatID=16&SubCatID=33&ProductID=70 as a Christmas present. I must admit that it has not been much in use. I use Tabac shaving soap, which is too large to fit in the bowl at the top. The hole for the brush is too small for my shaving brush.

A soap bowl, and appropriately sized mug for soaking the brush work best for me.

That explains the difference, its to bad because I really liked the looks of the T&H scuttle...
