paddle strop question

after how many shaves should i strop my razor on a pasted stop. and how many microns should i use. (my paddle has 3.0, 1.0, .5)

There's no set # of shaves. Do it when the razor isn't sharp enough, and try the lowest grit first (which would be 0.5 for you) and see if that does it.

If you do wind up using multiple sides, make sure to wipe the blade thoroughly on a paper towel between sides, to avoid contaminating the finer sides with grit from the coarse ones.
