Perfect; that's exactly what I was looking for (but was unable to find.) Even though I really don't need any more shaving supplies (at all) for the next year or so, I'll probably pick up one of their sandalwood pucks this week.
After seeing this thread I shaved with it again today. The new formulation is truly a very fine soap. The clay scent is gone along with the tallow, which means the sandalwood is more prominent. Much to my surprise, P&G obviously spent a lot of time coming up with the formula, as I think once you get over the fact that it doesn't have tallow in it, the performance is just as good.
I started to 3017 a puck of the sandalwood on Jan 1. It's early but at this point I would agree with this. As much as I'm a professed tallow soap guy, I have to say that this reformulation is pretty good stuff.
This is good news about the reformulation. I used the tallow version this morning. Its darn nice. If the new is even close, then there may be place for it in my den.
