I know that there are a few guys here who know fountain pens better than I do, so here goes...
One of my FPs had a snap-on cap that was very loose, to the point that it would accidentally slip off at times. Being rather brillant, I coated the inside of the cap in superglue and let it dry for a while, thinking that the superglue would decrease the inside diameter of the cap just enough to provide a good fit.
Now it's the morning later, and apparently the superglue, which was dry when I put the cap on, has magically bonded with the rest of the pen. Due to the slick nature of the pen and the lack of tools at my disposal, I'm not sure how to get the cap off. Can anyone help?
Obviously this was a bad idea. I'm annoyed, because the pen was one of my favorites, a nice gold-trimmed hooded pen, and because I can't get ia new one without going to Argentina. At least it's only a $9 pen.
