Anybody ever tried putting jewellers rouge on the linen side of their hanging strop ?. Thinking about trying it, though I dont want to ruin the strop

I thought this had something to do with a woman wearing too much makeup. I'll simply leave my 'linen' thoughts to everyone's imagination!
There are much better options than rouge. Half micron chromium oxide or similar grit diamond, for example. Or the TI white paste, or the Dovo black paste.
