What's new

I have lost my sole.

Well its time to resole my boots. I had always kept a smooth rubber sole on my boots because I was working construction but now no longer do that work, so I would like to get a good sole for hunting/hiking. I'm not looking for huge heavy lugs or for icy/snow conditions, basically a 3 season type sole will suffice. Almost all my huntingis done in highland dessert, dry arid conditions, stable to loose dry ground. What should I ask the cobbler for? The boots are a 9" lace-up, roll top toe, True-Timber brand. Nothing reall expensive, but are broken in nicely and fit my wide flippers well.

Also, I tend to walk heavy on my left foot due to a limp and roll to the outside of my right heel.

Something made by Vibram. Have a look at their catalog and pick something with a moderately aggressive sole. Your cobbler should be able to order a sole that will work, assuming your boots can be resoled.
