What did your Old Man smell like?

I love reading around here that Tabac or Arco or La Toja or MWF smells like "old man".

I don't know about you guys, but my old man didn't smell at all like any of that stuff! He smelled like Aqua Vela. :biggrin1:

What about you guys? What did your Old Man smell like?

My step Father (a very mean SOB) used Aqua Velva. To this day, I cannot wear it or be around it and I'm 47. May he rest in peace.

My real Father was a Gentlemen and still is and he wore the classics like Old Spice and Brut and at 78, he will be getting Myrsol Blue for Christmas to splash on and enjoy.

Dad has (and still has) a bunch of aftershave, most of which he never or rarely used. But in the 70s, when I was a kid, he smelled like Roffler hair products. The barbershop he went to was big on that stuff, and so was he. There was some kind of spray-on conditioner that I remember really liking...Dad smelled like that stuff and the Roffler hairspray.

My dad used a lot of perfumes and stuff.. he loved it. His own, my mothers... he'd put it all on...

But as for shaving... He was mostly sing the same basics.

Vergulde Hand shaving soap was standard
And sometimes Tabac

Just classic scents after a fresh shave.
