Grit size please

I wouldn't bother with it. I bought this and have no use for it at all. The stone is too coarse(maybe 4k? similar to the Polish slate hones that were being sold a while ago) and the strop is so small that it doesn't really have any functional use. I would get a separate strop and stone.

Thanks for the reply.I've had one or a few months now ,it's definately finer than my 6000 grit waterstone .Hey ho no worries

Is the hone a very fine grit somewhat translucent stone? If so it make be the same hone as sold by Colonel Conk which has an Arkansas novaculite stone as the honing surface. Novaculite was the American razor hone and works well but slowly. As I've seen it translated, "novacula" is Latin for sharp knife or razor.
