What is a Frown?

I keep hearing this used in reference to straights. What exactly does it mean? I assume it has something to do with the shape of the blade, but I'm not exactly sure how to identify one.

Hold the blade out sideways with the spine facing up. If the edge looks like a frown, then it's a frowner. If it looks like a smile then it's a smiler.

Frowning razors are difficult to hone and unpleasant to shave with and a good way to get hurt. Smiling razors are pretty straightforward to hone and tend to be great to shave with. Some razors were manufactured with a smile - these tend to have a sway-backed look from the spine following the edge of the razor. Some got that way through honing.
