Thanks James. I love that ink color. I think the trick with this pen will be using it with the breather tube removed (a simple, reversible feed mod) a lot of the time. It's by far the wettest pen I've ever used once the breather tube is out. The only problem is that if you're not flexing the nib much, the pen lays down too much ink. That's the best way to make the feed keep up with the nib, though, without widening the feed's ink channel or the breather tube channel (which I've done a little already... made a big improvement).
I think wet ink = use the breather tube and dry ink = remove the breather tube.
This pen is a giggle to use, though. I was watching "Unforgiven" tonight and kept scribbling quotes from the film on a piece of half used Rhodia. It's a very expressive nib, and I can see why folks enjoy flex nibs so much now.
