I entered it in the Shaving Vessel contest.

I smell like Winston Churchill today. Actually better--since he's dead.

I shaved with Taylor of Old Bond St "Lavender" and a 1930's Featherjector, making three passes; one north to south and the other two across the grain (different directions). I sustained no cuts or irritation and I finished with a Rose hydrosol and witch hazel followed by Trumper's "Coral" Skin Food.

And, of course, Penhaligon's "Blenheim Bouquet" -- just like Winnie.

Alex, I'll chime in with a little reply, since I have it also. It's an excellent, moisturizing shave soap with a good, although not explosive kind of lather like Proraso, Arko, Taylors or the like. I have the bay rum scented soap from Sensational Indulgences, and I find it has a delicious scent, and if you put just enough hot water on your brush, and swirl it around for 30 seconds, it'll give you plenty of nice, really fragrant lather for a real good 2 pass shave. Yes, definitely buy it, there are many, many scents to choose from, it's just a matter of finding one you like.

I think I would say yes to that question. I now have 3 tubs...the original one (Mayan Gold) smells wonderful. The soap is quite hard, and due to the small diameter of the pot....I had difficulty loading the brush. Since then I have transferred it into a larger container, and the improvement has been very significant. Great smell....close shave and no razor burn.
The last two pots I received have a slightly different formulation....ie shea butter is now included, and the soap is slightly softer. I still have to try these to see how they perform. The other 2 scents I have are Oakmoss and Vetiver.
