RIP: Funny Man Jonathan Winters Dies

I remember him as a regular on Carson.

One of the few people who could get Carson to the point that he could not speak without laughing.

An amazing entertainer. He used to take suggestions from his audience, e.g., "ex-KGB desk clerk", then do three or four minutes of absolute hilarity full ad-lib. Never at a loss for a comeback, capper, etc.

One of my favorites. Maude Fricket (sp?) was one of my favorite of his characters. May he rest in peace. A wonderful man.

This genuinely saddens me. I thought he was ALWAYS funny; ALWAYS "on." The guy never missed a beat. A regular guest on almost any variety show throughout the 60's and 70's, and for good reason. He made people laugh!
