Is the proper angle for shaving built into Schick injectors? Do I start with the guard and change the angle until it's beginning to shave, or do I just lay the top against my face and have at it?
Single edge blade angle.

I drew a quick sketch of the angle to use a schick. Notice the head is not quite flat against the face.

Why so? Mine all seem to be great shavers - nothing scary about them at all. They're pretty mild actually, even my OCMM.
There's no reason to fear an SE any more than a DE. They both use sharp blades, and they both have guard bars. After all, they are both SAFETY razors.
