I used the Instructables model for my first light box. It works amazingly well for how simple and inexpensive it is, but drove me a little nuts when I wanted to store it or transport it, and it didn't fit my preference for strong structural integrity in everything because I can be a little rough with my stuff.

So I took their basic design and substituted PVC pipe for the foam core. It bumps up the price unless you already own some of the stuff, which I did. But it now breaks down into approximately four parts that I can lay flat, and easily switch out various back drops and screen materials.
